Why I write

Have you ever noticed that the biggest turning points in life often begin with a single question?

Not an answer.

A question.

For most of my life, I thought strength meant having the answers. Today, I believe strength begins the moment we become willing to admit that we don't know what we don't know.

When we don't know something exists, we don't even think to ask about it. Without questions, we remain stuck with the same beliefs, the same reactions, and often the same pain.

Looking back over my life, I can see why I have such firm boundaries. They were not built from anger. They were built from experience. They were built from learning that protecting my peace is not selfish—it is wisdom.

The challenges I've faced have not made me harder. Surprisingly, they have made me softer.

I've learned that strength doesn't have to be loud. It can be gentle. It can forgive without forgetting. I can love while still saying, "No." It can leave the door to kindness open while keeping the door to harm firmly closed.

This has become part of my spiritual journey.

Today, I no longer measure growth by how many answers I have. I measure it by the quality of the questions I'm willing to ask.

My hope is that these articles never tell you what to think. Instead, I hope they encourage you to pause long enough to ask a question you may never have considered before.

Because the moment we realize, “I don't know what I don't know. Therefore, I have no questions, and without a question, I have no power.” then something remarkable happens.

Perhaps wisdom isn't about having all the answers after all.

Perhaps wisdom begins with the courage to ask a better question.
