Lynette M. Robbins Author Speaker & Consultant

Lynette M. Robbins assists people and organizations get clear about what they want, understand what stands in their way and take the next step. Across her work as an author, speaker, leadership consultant and coach, she returns to a simple question: What do you want?
The answer matters because people can work hard without moving toward a future they have chosen. Lynette asks questions that bring assumptions into view, then helps people translate new understanding into decisions, skills and action.

A career built in the field

Lynette began her sales career in 1970 with a cosmetics company. She learned to develop people, build teams and teach systems others could use. Her success as a sales leader led to opportunities to speak at national conventions and train leaders beyond her own organization.
She later served as Director of Education at the American Sales Training Institute in Wellesley, Massachusetts, developing sales training courses accredited for college credit in the Commonwealth. As Vice President and Northeast Marketing Manager for Oriflame International Cosmetics, she hired and developed people from entry level through upper management. Since 1987, she has coached executives and designed leadership, sales and management training programs through Leadership Management, Inc. She also hosted the monthly television program Winning Attitudes.
Those experiences shaped an approach grounded in what happens when people try to learn and change in real life. Lynette examines the questions people ask, the systems they follow and the guidance they need as their confidence grows. Read more on the History of Lynette M. Robbins page.

How Success Works

Lynette has developed practical ways to explore clarity, growth, leadership and sales. Her ideas give people language they can remember and use in conversation. Among them are:
  • Crystal Clear Clarity. Define what you want well enough to see which choices move you toward it.

  • The Five Stages of Learning and Mastery. Recognize where someone is in learning a skill and offer the guidance that stage requires. A beginner needs questions answered and hands-on help; as competence grows, observation gives way to occasional check-ins and greater independence.

  • People, Process, Product. Develop people and workable systems so the product or service can be delivered consistently.

  • Win, Win, Win. Look beyond two parties to consider everyone affected by a decision.

  • Educate, Investigate, Create. Help people explore their options, understand what they need and create a useful next step.

  • Needy, Seedy, Greedy. Notice the motives that can cloud a decision or damage a relationship.
Her writing and coaching explore these ideas, along with choice, personal responsibility and the words we use to shape our thinking. Explore more on the Services page and in Insights for Success.

Leadership and business consulting

Lynette has worked with individuals, privately held organizations and Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies on leadership, sales, management development and learning. She helps leaders clarify the result they want and build processes people can understand and repeat.
One of her strengths is recognizing what a person needs at a particular stage of learning. Beginners need room to ask questions and practice. With experience, they need observation, feedback and then increasing freedom to use their own judgment. That progression helps leaders develop capable people rather than remain the answer to every question.
For Lynette, performance begins with people: the decisions they make, the relationships they build and their willingness to keep learning. Clear goals and useful processes help a team put those strengths to work.

Insights for Success
